Chappell Roan and Creating Queer Spaces in Mainstream Music

In this workshop, we’ll take some time to appreciate and analyze the significance of Chappell Roan’s music as well as investigate what inspires her and drives her songwriting. We will examine her influence and discuss the cultural impacts of her music which features queer narratives not often focused on in mainstream culture. The workshop will also take time to focus on Chappell Roan’s activism and focus on analyzing the significance of musical artists raising their voices for social and political causes.
