Laura Meckler, Washington Post reporter, will be talking about her book “Dream Town: Shaker Heights and the Quest for Racial Equity.” This book deals with issues of racist segregation in housing and schools, and tells the story of a community that sought to build a solution to this persistent problem. This event honors the legacy of Sociology Professors Emeriti Frances Cousens and James Gruber.
The first 10 students who arrive will receive a free copy of “Dream Town.”
