Coping With Climate Anxiety / Emotions
Open to Everyone
Feeling climate anxiety/emotions? Not sure how to cope?
Join EAS 581 for a Climate Anxiety Workshop on Tuesday, November 12, from 3–5 pm in the DANA Commons.
This student-developed event will provide tools and perspectives to help students understand and manage their climate emotions while connecting with others. Participants will be able to choose from three breakout sessions:
-
Climate Café – A facilitated conversation focused on exploring climate anxiety and other climate emotions.
-
Mindfulness – A session to learn about ways to improve mindfulness (including through nature) to meaningfully manage emotions. (Event is planned to be outdoors, please dress for the weather!)
-
Climate/Sustainability Action – A student panel to learn about U-M organizations/opportunities to turn climate/eco-emotions into action.
