Shop from a variety of local minority-owned businesses, including apparel, food, jewelry, artisans, and more at DNEP’s Holiday Market! Support local Detroit Businesses while finding unique gifts for this holiday season. DNEP is our university-wide program that matches U-M student talent with Detroit small businesses to help students gain valuable experience as professionals-in-training while helping business owners access free legal, accounting, operations, marketing, design, and technology services. 90% of our clients are minority-owned; 65% are women-owned. There is a shortage of affordable indoor market spaces available for micro-businesses, making it hard for businesses who do not have a brick and mortar to participate in #ShopSmall campaigns.
