Sexual Assault Awareness Month Guest Speaker: Cheyenne Tyler Jacobs
To honor Sexual Assault Awareness Month, LSA Student Government’s Sexual Misconduct Response and Prevention Subcommittee is hosting keynote speaker, Cheyenne Tyler Jacobs.
As a survivor of sexual assault, Cheyenne has been open with both her story and healing journey with the purpose to spark change and remind others of their importance within the world. Cheyenne works to address and discuss the barriers that she faced as a Black women when trying to seek justice and work through trauma. Cheyenne is well versed in gender, racial, and sexual equity and strives to empower students through her speaking events, films, and art.
The event will take place at Angell Hall Auditorium A on April 12, from 6-7pm, with an additional hour after for personal questions. Attendance is free of charge and all are welcome.
