About Hadija Haruna-Oelker

Afro-German author and journalist, Hadija Haruna-Oelker, focuses on forms of racism and discrimination in German society and how an intersectional lens on identity affords to investigate and overcome different forms of discrimination a person might experience based on their identity. Her book, Die Schönheit der Differenz, tells her personal story and combines it with socio-political reflection. She talks about the perception of differences, about being allies, changing perspectives, empowerment and the beauty that lies in our differences.
