Ross Cause-Related Clubs

180 Degrees Consulting

180 Degrees Consulting (180DC) provides socially conscious organizations around the world with high quality management consulting services. They work with organizations to develop innovative, practical and sustainable solutions to whatever challenges they’re facing in order to maximize their social impact.

Atlas Consulting Group

Atlas Consulting Group is a premier pro-bono consulting organization at the University of Michigan. We work with diverse businesses, ranging from startups to non-profits to chain stores, in order to make a positive impact by leveraging our business knowledge.

Emerging Markets Club – EMC

With the strength of our membership and the resources available, EMC seek to educate and equip Ross students with the ability to evoke positive change in emerging markets.

Enactus Consulting

Enactus at the University of Michigan is dedicated to pursuing social change through free enterprise. We have worked on projects to affect social issues ranging from food insecurity to financial literacy. We are looking for like-minded individuals with the entrepreneurial spirit to make the world a better place.

Energy Club at Ross

ECR’s mission is to educate its members and provide access to employment opportunities ranging from traditional energy trading to renewable energy finance to new energy technologies.

Healthcare & Life Sciences Club

HLS delivers a diverse platform of opportunities and activities through which Ross students can learn about healthcare and prepare to succeed in the healthcare industry.

MECC Consulting Group

MECC Consulting Group is a premier, pro-bono student consulting organization at the University of Michigan. Our organization provides highly analytical, data-driven, and business-minded students the opportunity to engage in hands-on projects with local companies. With nearly 50 members in diverse fields, MECC is dedicated to positively impacting our clients through semester-long projects, exposing our members to prospective employers through networking events, and professionally developing our members through a series of professional development seminars.

Smart Cities Club

The Smart Cities Club at the University of Michigan was launched in 2015 to provide students across all disciplines and backgrounds with an outlet to learn about the fast-growing ‘smart cities’ sector.

Spark Impact Consulting

Spark is a social impact initiative that offers free consulting services to small businesses on a national scale. We place an emphasis on working with minority businesses as well as non-profits. Spark is a great way for students of any background to get hands-on consulting experience and work alongside professionals to build skills and grow their relationships.

Asia Business Conference

The Asia Business Conference (ABC) is the longest student-run conference in North America focused on Asia business. For 30 years, the landmark conference has brought leaders of multinational companies and organizations to the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business to discuss issues facing the Asian markets.

Design + Business

The mission of D+B is to provide a multidisciplinary community for graduate students interested in using design methodologies to lead organizations and facilitate innovation.

Detroit Initiative at Ross

Discover. Engage. Commit. The Revitalization & Business Initiative brings together University of Michigan graduate students to discover the city of Detroit, engage with the Detroit community, and commit to promoting the resurgence of this great American city.

Impact Investing Group

The Impact Investing Group is a student club dedicated to raising awareness and building interest in the impact investing field. Impact investing is investing with the intention of generating social or environmental impact alongside of a financial return. We equip our students with the knowledge and skills to help make a difference through the finance field.

MBA FinTech Club at Michigan Ross

The MBA FinTech Club at Michigan Ross (MFCM) seeks to promote FinTech opportunities and knowledge through:

  1. Education sessions
  2. Industry speakers
  3. Company and career connections

MFCM is dedicated to MBAs but actively partners with the University and Ross-wide FinTech initiatives, in addition to the broader Michigan FinTech Club.

Michigan Sustainable Investments

Michigan Sustainable Investments is a premier student-led organization at the University of Michigan, committed to the principles of impact investing and sustainable business practices. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of leaders to use capital as a force for good.

Propel Business Club

Propel Business Club is established to provide students who are passionate about social change with projects that leave an impact on the community.

Ross Connect Conference

The Ross Connect Conference is bringing together students from the General Management Club, Michigan Marketing Club, Tech Club at Ross, and Net Impact for a three-day networking event with companies across a variety of industries.

Social Venture Fund

Social Venture Fund (SvF) invests in and supports innovative companies that place social impact at the heart of their business model. SvF fosters the growth of enterprises responding to societal needs that traditional markets have insufficiently addressed.

Africa Business Club (ABC)

The mission of the Ross African Business Club is to enhance the enrollment of African students at the Ross School of Business and provide support for all african students seeking business and career opportunities here in the United States as well as Africa. The group also aims to promote and facilitate networking and culture awareness among Ross alumni, current MBAs, other graduate students and prospective students interested in Africa.

Asian American Business Association (AABA)

We are a group of MBAs who are passionate about diversity and inclusion. Our simple yet unwavering belief is that cultural differences should be celebrated, not ignored. Through our various events and programs, we seek to share and celebrate all cultures, including Asian-American culture, with our members. Our club is open to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity or gender. Join us – we’d love to have you!

Asian/Pacific Islander American Students in Business

ASIB was created for the expressed purpose of bringing issues faced by Asian/Pacific Islander Americans in business to light while guiding members to find personal and academic success in the business world through professional resources and strong community support.

Black Business Students Association

Founded in 1970, the Ross BBSA is dedicated to the recruitment of Black business students and the professional and academic development of its membership.

Black Business Undergraduate Society

The BBUS is committed to developing undergraduate minority talent at the business school.

Business Leaders for Diverse Abilities

Business Leaders for Diverse Abilities (BLDA) aims to foster community, raise awareness, and advocate for people with visible and invisible disabilities in the Ross School of Business community and in the broader professional business world through thoughtful programming, education, and events.

Welcome to Forté, a nonprofit organization committed to expanding access and opportunity to business education and professional development. For over twenty years, we’ve helped our talented, qualified community members achieve success – whether that means earning an MBA, discovering career paths in various industries, developing essential business and leadership skills, or connecting with recruiters at leading schools and companies.

Hispanic Business Students Association (HBSA)

HBSA provides academic support, professional development opportunities, and a social environment for its members. Additionally, HBSA supports the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management activities and recruitment initiatives for underrepresented minorities.

Lean In at the University of Michigan

We help women come together to learn from each other and achieve their goals, because women can be a powerful force for change in the world. We advocate for better public policies and a more equitable workplace, because to make lasting change, we need institutional change. We run programs to combat bias, because changing the trajectory of women and girls means changing how we think about gender.

Maize & Jew

The Maize & Jew provides social, cultural and networking opportunities for graduate Jewish business students. The club aims to bring its members together with other Jewish graduate students on campus as well as serve as an educational resource for the greater business school community.

Michigan Business Women (undergrad)

Michigan Business Women (BBA) is student organization dedicated to providing women in business the resources to be successful. Our members have access to a number of private professional events, including corporate recruiting and in-organization professional development. We strengthen the ties between our members through social events focused on building relationships.

Michigan Business Women – MBW

Michigan Business Women is dedicated to promoting the personal and professional development of women at Ross, advocating gender equity, and fostering a vibrant and supportive women’s community.

Net Impact @ Ross Net Impact Undergrad

NI@R fosters a community at Ross (and beyond) motivated to have a positive impact on business and society. We encourage members to explore the role of positive impact in their lives and careers and empower them to take action through learning and engagement opportunities.

Out for Business

Out for Business (OFB) at Ross is the official lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) student association at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. We seek to build a strong, diverse community of LGBTQ+ and ally students at Ross where all are welcomed, celebrated, and valued. We aim to provide a comprehensive set of professional development resources to support the career interests of OFB members. We work to raise awareness among Ross faculty, staff, and students of the issues, experiences, and intersectional identities among LGBTQ+ individuals in the workplace and in society.

Service Corps Alumni

SCA is dedicated to building a community at Ross for those who served our country in the service of others. If you have participated in Americorps, Americorps Vista, Peace Corps, Teach for America and other domestic or international service oriented programs, please accept this as an invitation to join us.

Southeast Asia Business Association

The SABA seeks to promote a deeper understanding of Southeast Asia business culture and practices within the Ross Business School (hereafter, “Ross”) community with the ultimate goal of assisting in the creation of a more diverse and culturally aware student body. Secondly, SABA will serve as a social and networking support group for Southeast Asia students at Ross. Thirdly, the SABA will serve as Ross’ window to prominent Southeast Asian alumni for mentoring, job and internship opportunities and connecting alumni to the current Southeast Asia student body. Finally, the SABA will serve as a channel of communication for prospective Southeast Asia students and admitted Southeast Asia students by providing orientation and guidance counseling to facilitate the transition into the Ross community.
