Michele May brings deep experience from both the financial and nonprofit worlds. After an impactful career, including more than two decades at Bain Capital where she served as Chief Financial Officer, Michele shifted her focus to mission-driven work and now advises and serves on the boards of several Boston-area nonprofits. She is Board Chair of the Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute, an innovative nonprofit at the intersection of science, education, and community, and a longtime leader with Rosie’s Place, the nation’s first shelter for women, where she served as Board Chair from 2005 to 2009. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Michele is passionate about helping nonprofits build strong teams, adapt to change, and achieve lasting impact.
