Drawing from his book Conscience Incorporated: Pursuing Profits while Protecting Human Rights, Michael Posner explores how multinational companies are navigating human rights challenges across global supply chains, the tech sector, and investment practices. He will also examine the growing crisis of democracy in the United States and globally, and the role business leaders can play in supporting democratic norms and the rule of law.

Michael Posner is the Jerome Kohlberg Professor of Ethics and Finance at NYU’s Stern School of Business and Director of the Center for Business and Human Rights, the first human rights center at a business school. He Previously served in the Obama Administration as Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and labor (2009–2013) and led the New York–based advocacy organization Human Rights First from 1978 to 2009.
