Radical Planning LGBTQIA+ Urban Pop-Up

As a case study for the Radical Planning course (a student-led course designed to challenge top-down oppressive planning strategies and highlight the work of current practitioners), we are working to design and execute and queer-focused urban pop-up.

Here’s what makes an urban pop-up unique:

  • Free to enter
  • Consciously-created gathering space
  • Collaborative design and planning process

This is an event designed by and for queer people of all ages, races, ethnicities, abilities, genders, and sexualities. Children and families are welcome. This will be a substance-free environment (no alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, etc). Masks will be required in this space to protect the health and well-being of all.
