Student Art Exhibition: Art for Policy Change
Open to Everyone
Please join the students of the course Protest, Social Movements, Art, and Policy Change (PubPol 475.005/750.005) as they showcase some of the art they created this semester. Ask them about how social science research and theory, UMMA’s American Sampler Exhibition, the Arts Initiative, and the Labadie Collection informed their art.
For students, the exhibit is an opportunity to share their art with the broader community, to teach others about the role of art and social movements in policy change, to respond to thought-provoking questions, and to engage in dialogue about what kind of future we want and how we might get there. For guests, the exhibit is an opportunity to learn about the role of art and social movements in policy change and different theories of policy change.
